Rollmaster Report

Koryn knocked back another glass of Corellian Brandy. He could feel himself slowly becoming inebriated. He knew he shouldn’t; it was dangerous when the rebellion was threatening to spill over. But he didn’t give a flying Fecklen. He was celebrating, all be it alone, the completion of the Sedes Doctrinae. They had found the scum who had planted the bomb and blown various sections of the facility halfway to Galactic Centre. He was barely older than a boy. He had confessed quickly claiming that The Cause was holding his family captive and that their lives had been threatened had the boy not planted the explosives. Koryn had sensed no lie in the boy’s voice and let him go.

The Ebon Cloak headquarters had been completed long before schedule, which greatly pleased the House Summit. The Rodian had attempted to persuade Tra’an and Kalak to celebrate with him, but they refused stating that they were too busy with Antenoran politics. So, Koryn had taken to drinking alone in Cooch’s Cantina. In truth, celebration was the last thing on his mind, he was only using that as an excuse: the work had finally begun to pile on top of him and he needed a break. With that and the imminent rebellion, Koryn just needed to forget everything at least for one night. Thraagus clicked his fingers, summoning the bar tender droid over to refill his glass.

The band, who had been on the longest five minute break Koryn had ever known, returned to their stage in the corner of the cantina and picked up their instruments once more. One of the band members counted them in, and they broke into the annoyingly addictive ‘Mad About Me’. Koryn let a groan escape his lips then sighed.

“I’m going to be humming this for days…” he muttered to himself. A number of the cantina patrons took to the dance floor including a particularly attractive Twi’lek that the Rollmaster had been eyeing up all night. As he watched her lithe form dancing, he was sure he caught her glancing his way a number of times. His mind was made up instantly. He downed his drink and got up. “I can at least say ‘hi’ to the girl,” he thought. The Rodian pushed his way past the other dancers towards the Twi’lek. A smile played on the edges of the girl’s lips when she saw the Rodian approaching. Koryn flashed the girl his best HoloNet star grin. Just as he was about to introduce himself, a bleeping sound alerted him to his commlink. He sighed and answered it.

“What?” He hissed.

“Seeing as you’re not too busy tonight,” said Tra’an, “why don’t you get a report sorted?” He disconnected and turned around, expecting the Twi’lek to have moved on. To his surprise, the girl was still there, the same coy smile etched on her face. “Maybe tonight wasn’t such a waste of time,” thought the Koryn as he opened a channel to the House.

Children of the Rising Dragon,

Welcome to the greatest show in the galaxy!

Rollmaster Report

If you’ve read Kalak’s report, you’ll know that Rise of a Rebellion part 2 has been pushed back to June 14th. Be prepared for it! As you’ve heard from both Kalak and Tra’an’s report, the event may well decide whether our House stays open or gets closed. So when the date comes, I urge you all to enter at least one event. I’ll be in the middle of my exams and I’ll be participating in as much as possible.

Raken has stepped down from his positions as Praetor to the Grand Master and Tribune of Fiction. Thanks to him for all the outstanding work he has done. Currently no applications are being accepted for the positions.

Astronicus is still looking for people to be involved in his project so that our club can become ‘friends of Wookieepedia’. If you have an ID on Wookieepedia, send it over to him so he can see your contributions to the site.

Seraine “Erinyes” Tenama is running the ACC Eraser Competition. Every win that you get from this competition removes one loss from your Character Sheet. Sign up for the event on the Forums: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5785&pid=183324&st=0&#entry183324.

Aabsdu is running another Journeyman competition for anyone under the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. I suggest that all journeymen submit to this event. I submitted to a few of them as a journeyman, and they give you some great experience as well as something to put towards your next promotion.

Kalak Ragnose: Force Cults

“I’ve never heard of the Force Cults course before,” you may well be saying. It’s a new course written by Kalak. In order to support Kalak, I think everyone in this House should take it when they get a chance.

Journeyman Competition – May 2009

As I mentioned above, Aabsdu is running a competition for all journeymen. Details are below:

In the aftermath of the Ninth Great Jedi War, personnel from all clans have been summoned to Antei to help in the reconstruction process. You, as a Journeyman, have been paired with an Elder. What are your thoughts on working with a being who, under normal circumstances, would brush you aside without a second thought? How does the pairing work out? Entries should be at least one page long…
