Dalthid awarded an Emerald Dagger!
As Grand Master, it is a dream to have a Dark Council with self-motivated, independent and initiative-filled members. I constantly look to the Dark Council members to step up and fill their roles with new ideas, to work without being prodded along, and to have a pride in their work that is second to none.
Dalthid has exceeded every expectation I have had for him in his role s Combat Master. He has served in the position for over a year now, and in every aspect of the ACC he has made great improvements.
Most recently, Dalthid has made leaps and bounds worth of progress in adding to the documentation for the ACC. He has overhauled the compendium, created manuals for judges and trainers and created guides for new members. He has been hard at work making sure that every idea in his head is transferred to hard copy -- a goal that you should now know matches exactly what I want to see for the whole of the DB.
Dalthid is consistent. He is knowledgeable. He loves his job and will do his best to make sure the ACC succeeds. If I had my druthers, he would be CM forever -- no leaving, Dal.
We appreciate all that you do, Dalhid. As recognition of that, I hereby award you an Emerald Dagger.

I've been a part of the ACC staff under only two of the many Combat Masters. However, I've also been around the DB for a number of years and have worked with, above or under a slew of members. As such, I can easily say what Dalthid brings to this "job" is something that only a handful, at most, can ever hope to match in terms of ability, dedication, resolve. I have seen more than enough people both love and hate what Dalthid has brought to the ACC, with many of the "haters" having their own personal and selfish reasons. However, I dare anyone to deny just how much work Dalthid has actually put into the ACC itself during his time as CM, let alone what efforts his put during his whole time as a staff member.
I'm in awe at just the amount of information he has gone through, assimilated and put together for everyone in terms of the Compendium alone. Every single aspect in it has been re-done, with more always being added and "bettered". We've had actual ladders and ACC-run competitions done to completion with minimal hassle on everyone's part. The ACC itself is one of "the" main activity points in the DB, and a "homegrown" one at that.
I've been proud to work in the ACC due to Dalthid's continued efforts. There is not a single person around who can do what he does in the ACC. None. That isn't hyperbole, that's a fact. We shall lose a lot should he every consider retiring.
Dal, congrats on the medal. More than deserved on all accounts. And as Jac said...you're not leaving :P

Anyhow, congrats on the ED. It's good to see dedication to the cause instead of infatuation with the rewards.

Outstanding! I remember back in the day when battles were conducted via the message boards. To see such an evolution from that system to this one is simply amazing. For your part in making this possible you more than deserve this award and our thanks and admiration Dalthid. Well done.

Thanks guys tear, kinda gets me right there... hehe. Good news for some, bad news for others - I ain't done yet...we still need two more Champions so we can get the Supreme Championship underway and I can put this blasted title up for grabs - then, maybe, we can hose down the office and let someone else stink it up, LOL :)

Congratulations! Though the opinion of a JH may not mean much, the ACC is a hard place to run and he does it well. I do not know of anyone who could do a better job.
Yay Dalthid, congrats on the big ED! You have truly made the ACC the most viable and interesting of all platforms within the DB. Keep up the great work!
I can't do much more than echo what others have said, and add that your insanity gives me strength (it really does - dedication and resolve rub off, and the chemistry you have with the Staff is awesome). I CAN start a conga line though.
