[CSP] December 2020 Consul Report

Introduction

Welcome to the final report for 2020. Let’s dive into it, shall we?

News

We don’t have too much going on for news, though I’d like to start this off by welcoming Dukwtape, Kah’ri Marru, and Ellac Conrat. These three hit the ground running as soon as they joined, and have already progressed up the ranks with a lot of activity. They have been doing a tremendous job, and they have also been a pleasure to have in the Clan channel on TG. It is a pleasure to have you with us, and I look forward to seeing you continue to grow in the Clan and in the Brotherhood.

Second, I’d also like to welcome again Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz to CSP. It’s always a pleasure to have former members return, and it’s been awesome having him in the Clan channel with us.

Lastly, as some of you may know, Xantros has been away for some time due to technical issues. Currently, we still have him named as HEC’s Aedile, but we will consider the possibility of replacing him should he not return anytime soon. We will keep you updated. The last time I had spoken with him, he was doing well and hopes to return to us eventually.

Announcements/Reminders

Just want to remind you that tomorrow is the last day for the Sithmas comps! If you want to get some last-minute entries in for a chance to get some shinies, now is the time! Whether it be doing some holiday puzzles, writing a parody for a Christmas carol, or helping the little bunny we all know and love ascend to the heavens on floating bells; there are some easy and quick comps to enjoy. So far, I’ve received marvelous entries and would like to see some more.

[CSP] Sithmas Time Comes Once A Year!

In regards to our three newest recruits, and with Kamjin having already taken Dukwtape as his apprentice, Ellac Conrat and Kah’ri Marru are both available to anyone who wishes to be their master. If anyone should be interested in taking up one of them as their student, please feel free to let Sykes know.

A Year In Review

The last day of the year. The last report of 2020. We’ve finally reached what we hope will be the end of a pretty crazy and trying year that has tested many of us in real life as well as the Clan itself. 2020 had us started out a bit shaky with Dek and myself the only ones running things after a few others departed from the Summit. The GJW was a huge loss for the Clan, but we slowly began to rebound when Mauro Wynter and Sykes Jade joined us and became the new Proconsul and Rollmaster while Xantros joined Dek’s side as House Empire’s Chosen’s Aedile. With new Clan events being released, activity slowly began to grow again with notable members like Xendar, Reiden, and Dante taking the lead with participation. Even with the Holiday events, we’ve seen more activity.

We do know that Covid-19 is responsible for a lot of people being inactive for various reasons, and it’s something even us in the Summit have had to deal with. I know it’s impacted some of you in the Clan either with the loss of a loved one or it’s affected your job. Though activity is important still, I think the most important thing is that we’ve all been there for each other with support and compassion. I’ve always viewed CSP as my other family, and it always warms my heart to see everyone being there for each other in hard times. You all were there for me when I lost a loved one in November, and I truly appreciated that.

I extend this appreciation to the Summit. Mauro, Sykes, Dek, and Xantros have been understanding when I had to take a bit of time away, and they’ve been a great help in helping CSP to excel and shine. Having gotten to know them, they are truly remarkable individuals that have brought much to the table. Especially Dek, who has been with me the longest. Whether it be writing Clan fiction or just pumping out ideas for the Clan, he has truly been phenomenal. Being I wasn’t able to get a report out last month due to unfortunate events, I’d like to express my gratitude. I’m thankful for the wonderful people in the Summit and for all they do. They’ve taught me a lot from their own experience while also doing their very best to serve you. I’m also thankful for all of you in the Clan. Whether it be that you’re all there for each other, or that a few of you have reached out wondering how you can help out, you guys have continued to be some of the most amazing people I know.

And I’d like to extend my gratitude to the wiki committee. Though it’s been a bit slow, as of late, Mauro had led the way earlier in tackling the Clan wiki and its associated pages. Thank you for all you do, and I look forward to seeing more work being done as the Clan story progresses.

With 2020 now coming to an end, new things are definitely in store. The Summit has already got some things planned and lined up with something already coming your way in January. We’re looking forward to having an eventful year for everyone.

2021 will be a new year of continued growth for CSP while also being a better year for us all in general. Though we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, I encourage all of you to continue being the amazing individuals that you are and to continue looking out for and encouraging each other. I’ve said this before many times, and I’ll say it again. The Clan is nothing without you and all the amazing things that you do. Whether it be through activity, giving the summit input, or just being there for others; you are the beating heart of Scholae Palatinae. Never forget that.

So, with that said, here’s to the end of an old year, and the beginning of a new one. May CSP prosper and may we continue to grow together. For the Empire!

Shadow Palpatine Nighthunter
Consul of Scholae Palatinae

Well said, here’s to an amazing 2021.

Though I’ve only been here a short time, I’d also like to thank you for leading us. You’re supportive, enthusiastic, and you care a lot about our clan.

Thank you for everything you’ve done, even just in the this last week that I’ve been here. Happy New Year!

Great Report! Here's hoping for another great year!
